Gravy, baby.

Being a teacher is maddening sometimes, but this is the time of year when my life turns to gravy.  Paper work is done, classes are over.  Students are gone.  People are throwing parties and have time to go out at night.  The weather is finally warm, and Seattle becomes spectacular.

I’m taking siestas every afternoon.  Why not?

Friday was a breeze of a day; after work there was a siesta, and then it was down to Benaroya for graduation.  Then there was the after party, the post-after party (which was epic)… the evening ended in Chinese food.  Today there was some sleeping in, a late lunch at Linda’s with R… you knew they had bloody marys, did you know they had a back patio?  There was a massage, and then some grocery shopping… and oh yes, I hit the 10 cent gas discount.  Booyah!

There is still a great big question mark over what I’m going to do this summer.  There was an opportunity I was hoping to hear about last week, and days later I’m still waiting for the final word.  We’ll see… if it happens, it will be great.  If it doesn’t happen, life is still going to be pretty sweet.

Today is someone’s 37th birthday.  If you’re reading, I hope you’re having a good one.
